Photographer's Statement

"I strive to be the Grandma Moses of photography. Anna Moses began painting in her 70’s and went on to become a world-renowned American Folk Artist. For as long as I can remember I have wanted to be a photographer but, until now, have not been able to pursue my dream. After experimenting with portraiture, landscape, and travel photography I discovered street photography. I’ve always had a fascination with people’s attitudes, their interaction with others and the way they use fashion to express themselves. I’m often caught staring at a person or situation without even realizing I’m doing so. Street photography gives me the opportunity to capture, forever, those moments that I find so fascinating."
