BIOGRAPHY & CONTACT INFO Mason Resnick has been an active street photographer since taking a life-changing workshop with Garry Winogrand in 1977. He has been enthusiastically promoting street photography (as well as other forms of photography) through his personal web site, Black & White World, since 1995--and now, through The World @ Street Level. Resnick has earned a living writing about photography for a variety of photography magazines and web sites since 1983. His employers have included Modern Photography, Popular Photography, Photo Business and PDN magazines; his online claims to infamy include a two-year stint as the first webmaster for B&H Photo; starting up Popular Photography's web site; running online communities for a short-lived site called Photohighway and writing camera reviews for a slightly longer-lived consumer electronics site, eTown. Resnick is currently the editor of the Adorama AIRC Learning Center, where he has been working since 2005, and teaches street photography at the Perfect Picture School of Photography to prove it could be done. Resnick's street photographs have appeared in Stern, Hadassah, and Modern and Popular Photography magazines; his photos are part of the permanent collection of the Oklahoma City Museum of Art, where he recently curated a group show, "Crossroads: Contemporary Street Photography."
